Designed for a desert climate, this 18 story office building responds directly to the climatic conditions of the area in a number of ways. The vertical transportation core is located on the south façade which reduces the solar gain. The vertical fins on the East and West additionally shield heat gain from the low morning and evening sun angles. The massing is simple and monumental with the south core element acting as a solid anchor to the transparent office mass.
